King Charles III, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the White House and the UK prime minister react to Kate Middleton's diagnosis

The world reacts to Kate Middleton's illness

The relatives of Princess Kate Middleton of Wales, British citizens and country leaders reacted to the resonant news that the future queen was diagnosed with cancer. The duchesses expressed their support and condemned the "conspiracy theorists" who had been spreading rumors about her for months.

Among those who publicly supported Kate Middleton were King Charles III, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the princess's brother, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, the White House, and others. OBOZ.UA decided to collect their statements.

Buckingham Palace was the first to publicly react to the news of the princess's illness. A spokesman for the royal family told reporters that King Charles III was "proud of the courage of his beloved daughter-in-law." By the way, he is also undergoing treatment for cancer.

Shortly after Kate Middleton's revelation, touching words appeared on her brother James' page. He posted an archival photo of them with a caption, "Over the years, we have conquered many mountains together. As a family, we will climb this one."

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak was the next to address the British on the occasion of the Duchess's disappointing announcement. On behalf of the whole of the UK, he wished Kate Middleton a full recovery and also shamed the media for putting pressure on her at such a difficult time.

"When it comes to her health, she, like everyone else, should be given personal space so she can focus on her treatment and her loving family. I know I speak for the entire country in wishing her a full and speedy recovery, and I look forward to her return when she is ready," the politician wrote.

The Dukes of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who live in the United States and are believed to have strained relations with other family members, reacted too.

"We wish health and recovery to Kate and her family and hope they can do so in peace and quiet," the couple said in a brief statement.

World leaders did not stand aside either. The White House assured that it wishes her a full recovery.
