Jerry Heil and alyona alyona answered whether they will change the performance from the National Selection for Eurovision 2024 in Malmö: we had a different vision

The winners of the National Selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, Jerry Heil and alyona alyona, have barely exhaled after the final battle as they have already started preparing for the main competition in Malmö, Sweden, where they will perform on May 7. The singers are planning to change their performance, so the audience will see a slightly different show on the international music scene.

The contestants are likely to change not only the concept of the performance with all the special effects but also their costumes. They announced this in an interview with Radio Promin.

As you know, after the duo's performance in the final of the National Selection, the judges, including Andriy Danylko, had some complaints about the staging and presentation of the song.

"I have questions about the number, the images, and the lack of interaction. I want you not to be separate. Do you understand?" a jury member commented at the time.

The audience also expressed the opinion that Teresa & Maria's strong vocals and hit track deserve a more perfect performance than the one demonstrated by Jerry Heil and alyona alyona at the National Selection. So the performers assured that they were going to listen to the comments and suggestions of the judges and the audience. Moreover, they hinted that they were not satisfied with the performance at the selection, as they had a slightly different vision for it.

"We had a slightly different vision of how we would look and what the light show should be like. Alyona and I should just let us be organic on stage. Real as we feel. When it's like that, there is total synchronization! Because I'm very picky about myself. Alyona won't let me lie, I'm very, very picky about myself in music. I was trained this way, I studied a lot with teachers of the post-Soviet school, and, in particular, when I sang in the women's choir for four years, I studied with teacher Halyna Horbatenko at the Glier School – it's not just a school, it's training," commented Jerry Heil.

Her partner, meanwhile, added that she is still "digesting" the victory at the National Selection.

"I don't believe we won. I think we need to go outside and walk. Because it's a long way. I have won European awards, just like Yana. You just do something, you are nominated and then you win, and it's one emotion, because you just live your life, and someone evaluates your work separately. And Eurovision is the path you take. And we've been on this path for so long, and so many twists and turns have happened, the search for betrayal, the "things" you're accused of that everyone is now thinking about, some slander, I don't realize that it's over. It seems to me that it was a life journey, and it is still going on. And this is just the beginning," said alyona alyona.

As a reminder, Ukraine will perform in the first part of the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024.
