"I miss him so much": Iryna Bilyk touched fans with memories of her assistant, who went missing near Bakhmut
The famous Ukrainian singer and composer Iryna Bilyk spoke about her assistant who looked after her large house near Kyiv. It was in these apartments that the occupiers lived in the spring of 2022, and after they looted and destroyed the star's home, Viktor cleaned it up and put everything in order. Later, the man joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Viktor defended Ukraine with arms in hand in the hottest spots of the frontline, including in the Bakhmut area. He is currently considered missing. On the air of Melodiia radio, Bilyk admitted that she misses her assistant very much.
It is unknown where Viktor is now. The People's Artist of Ukraine believes that the man is alive and will definitely return home, just like other Ukrainian defenders.
"I really miss my manager, who served me so well. When the Nazis came into the house and destroyed, broke, and looted everything, he packed all my shoes, clothes. And he was taken to the army. And now he is already missing in Bakhmut. When I look at all this, I sit at home and miss him so much. Here was my Vitya, and now I don't know where he is," the star said.
As a reminder, Bilyk and his son Tabriz live in the elite village of Berezivka near Kyiv, which was occupied at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. The invaders broke into the star's apartment. After the de-occupation, the singer shared details about the barbaric "entertainment" of the Russian occupiers in her home. According to the singer, the Russians set up a headquarters in her home, where they rested, warmed themselves by the fireplace, ate delicious food, and, of course, took away valuable things.
When Bilyk returned home for the first time during the full-scale war, she discovered that only a luxurious, expensive grand piano had survived. All other things were broken, damaged or stolen.
"For a very long time I didn't tell my fans that I had Russians living in my home for almost a month. I thought it was not important because they were killing children, killing people. And the fact that they robbed, destroyed, smashed, it seemed to me, was the minimum. I prayed only that my house would remain intact, that the walls would remain standing. When they showed me what they had done to the place where I write songs... By the way, I have a beautiful expensive piano. It remained intact. I don't know what they did to it," the star said at the time.
