The fifth president of Ukraine, leader of the European Solidarity party, Petro Poroshenko, sent a heartfelt birthday greeting to his wife, Maryna. On February 1, the former first lady celebrates her 62nd birthday.

The couple will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary this year, but the former Ukrainian leader continues to dedicate touching posts to his beloved on the occasion of their milestones. As we already wrote, the couple got married almost 40 years ago, although they met much earlier. Petro Poroshenko fell in love at first sight.

When they met, the then very young, 17-year-old native of Odesa region was not at all worried about the three-year age difference. Marina, a little older than him, also didn't think it would be an obstacle.

Once a young man in love even got into a fight over his chosen one, which made her feel proud.

Later, the couple lived their measured lives and began to build a family, until Maryna Poroshenko became first lady in 2014.

The couple had previously published joint family photos, but now there are even more of them. Maryna Poroshenko accompanied her husband to press conferences, traveled with him on business trips, congratulatedЭ Ukrainians on holidays, and participated in touching photo shoots.
