'I'm tired': 30-year-old singer Pedro Henrique collapsed and died on stage during his performance. Video
Brazilian gospel singer Pedro Henrique, 30, died during a performance at a private church service in the city of Feira de Santana. Doctors determined that the cause was a heart attack.
Shortly before his death, the artist complained that he was tired. A video showing the moment of his death was posted on YouTube.
Pedro Henrique, who wrote songs with Christian themes, was performing his song "Vai Ser Tão Lindo" in front of dozens of people when he had a heart attack. He suddenly fell on his back with no signs of life.
The singer's body was taken to the nearest hospital, where he was pronounced dead. There was no chance of saving the star.
Representatives of the record company described Henrique as "a cheerful young man, a second and only child, a true husband, and a very devoted father."
The singer is survived by his wife Suilan Barreto and daughter Zoe, who was born on October 19. The singer's Instagram page is followed by over a million users who have expressed their condolences in the comments.
Recalling that day, the artist's friends said that he was not feeling well. "I'm tired," the singer repeated a few hours before the performance.
Henrique started singing at the age of 3, but he tried to perform professionally in 2015 when he posted a few songs on his YouTube channel. He joined a local band and released one album, "Grande é o Senhor," but then focused on a solo career in the gospel genre.
