"I am thinking about this option." Another well-known TV presenter talks about adopting a child during the war

TV presenter Karolina Ashion, who found temporary refuge from the war in Germany but later returned to Ukraine, admitted that she is considering adopting a child.

According to the TV presenter, in a difficult time when "so many children need parents," she does not rule out "this option" of becoming a mother. Ashion said this in an interview with OBOZ.UA.

In the fall of 2022, in an interview with blogger Anna Olytska, the TV presenter said that she had been trying to get pregnant for some time, but her attempts were unsuccessful. Karolina regretted that at the time, "not feeling my own age, I didn't think about motherhood seriously enough."

"If I could go back to about 35 years old, even 30, the beginning of my relationship with my husband, I would do it all over again," Ashion admitted. At the time, I thought that there was still so much time, I would have time. And then, when you start hitting that rock and you don't succeed, it's exhausting. I procrastinated a lot. I wanted to have a child... Even now I have a little girl on my phone screen saver. In short, this is a very painful topic. I don't know if maybe this girl on my phone screen saver will remain my dream for the rest of my life. They say that children choose their parents. I like this theory. My child hasn't chosen me yet."

In an interview with OBOZ.UA, Karolina Ashion said that she had divorced her husband before the Great War, and it happened the day after her mother's funeral. In addition to her closest person, she also lost her closest friend: "I lost my godmother, buried my mother two months later. I divorced my husband. Literally the day after I said goodbye to my mom. And then the invasion started."

The TV presenter found temporary refuge from the war in Germany, worked for one of the leading German TV channels, but returned to Ukraine a year later. Answering questions about her personal life, Karolina admitted that she still hopes to become a mother. However, while she did not want to think about adoption before, dreaming of giving birth herself, she does not reject this possibility now.

"And now I have a little girl on my phone screen saver," says Karolina Ashion in an interview with OBOZ.UA. "I return to this topic from time to time, but I haven't made up my mind yet. Now is the time, so many children need parents... I think about this option. But I want to have some kind of certainty, although, of course, it sounds a little silly: what kind of stability is there nowadays? In any case, I do not reject this topic. And you know: every woman has her own time. I know that at the age of 50, everything will only begin for me."

Earlier, OBOZ.UA reported that TV presenter Timur Miroshnichenko and his wife Inna will soon become parents of their second adopted child. Last fall, the couple adopted a 2-year-old boy, who was named Marcel.
