Eight-year-old Princess Charlotte, the daughter of Prince William and Kate Middleton, has a special pet in her family—one that brings optimism to others.

The girl does not boss her brothers, 10-year-old George and 5-year-old Louis, because she knows she is the middle one among them, international parenting expert Jo Frost told Hallo. But despite this, the eight-year-old princess still often keeps them under control.

"Charlotte knows the rules. She's in the middle," explained Jo.

The expert added, "She knows how to keep everyone in a good place. There are times when I watch George. He would look at his sister and probably be annoyed with her one minute and then grateful that she was there to remind him of things when he was not taking things the way they should be."

Jo mentioned that Prince William and Kate Middleton adhere to royal protocols in raising their children.

"Of course, George is our future king. He has a great example to imitate from his grandfather and father since childhood. They [the children] are brought up with an understanding of royal procedures and protocols. And they are brought up to understand that there is a time and place for everything," explained the expert.

Jo also noted that all three children are treated equally: "I think William and Catherine understand the importance of fostering a brotherly and sisterly relationship between the three of them. I dare say that their family will never be about 'heir and spare.' It will be about the importance of all of them."

It's worth noting that in the last Christmas card, Princess Charlotte, occupying the honorable position of the middle sister, appeared very happy and likely brought cheer to her brothers.
