"How can one wish for collapse of such a great country as Russia?": Taisia Povaliy makes a cynical statement as Ukraine cries blood

The singer Taisia Povaliy, who was born in Kyiv but betrayed her homeland and now boasts of her Russian passport, does not understand why her beloved Mother Russia is hated not only by Ukrainians but also by Russians themselves who have fled to other countries. She sincerely does not realize why one wishes the Russian Federation collapse.

The artist believes that the only reason for such wishes is the people's dislike for their homeland. She ignores the fact that Russians regularly shell Ukrainian cities and hit civilian objects because this truth does not fit into the Russian propaganda narratives. Povaliy made her statement during an interview with a well-known Russian blogger Tatarka.

"For me, this is an incomprehensible situation. How can one wish for collapse of such a great country as Russia? For what? For a resort somewhere on the ocean? How could you trade this gut, this core, this mother? How can one wish for destruction? What is their goal? To break up Russia? Why? It means they don't love it. They were born here but have no roots," the traitor said.

Because of this, Taratka teased her and said that Povaliy must not love her homeland if she went abroad and criticized her, to which she tried to please both parties and confessed her love for the country where she spent her childhood. However, with one huge caveat: at a time when Russia had the greatest influence on Ukraine.

"I love my country [Ukraine] very much, but the one that was before the Revolution [of Dignity], which is the real Ukraine. The one that was before these hoards ," the artist said.

In particular, Povaliy also commented on her former title of People's Artist of Ukraine. She still thinks she has it even though she was stripped of it in 2015.

"They have no procedure that can deprive me of the title [People's Artist of Ukraine]. They can say whatever they want, but it is there, it is in my soul," she continued.
