With the beginning of spring, the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 bookmaker's rating has undergone dramatic changes. For the first time in a month and a half, Ukraine and its representatives Alyona Alyona & Jerry Heil were deprived of the lead.

This was done by the Croatian participant Baby Lasagna, aka Marko Purisic, who was not even bet on in his own country. You can follow the situation in real time on the Eurovision World website.

A few days ago, the Ukrainians had a 16% chance of winning, and the Croatian had a 12% chance. However, on March 2, the chances were equalized, and both countries had 14%, but Croatia still overtook Ukraine and topped the ranking with the song Rim Tim Tagi Dim.

It was predictable, because since Baby Lasagna won the National Selection, his track went viral, and the odds of winning skyrocketed, while the Ukrainians had a steady 16 percent for many weeks.

As you know, the Croatian participant was not announced as one of the 25 finalists of the National Selection, but he was offered the role of an understudy in case one of the main contestants was unable to perform. And so it happened.

Imagine the jury's surprise when Baby Lasagna became the undisputed winner, receiving the highest scores from the audience and international judges. Read more about the Croatian star and his offstage image in our article.
