Fedyshyn in tears remembered her brother, who was killed near Soledar: they still haven't told her grandmother, she keeps asking about him.
Popular Ukrainian singer Iryna Fedyshyn in tears remembered her cousin Roman Klimkovych, who in February this year gave his life in the battle with the occupants near Soledar in the Donetsk region. The artist recorded a video message to fans and presented to the public a commemorative vest of her deceased relative. She reported with particular sadness that Roman's body had not yet been collected so that the family and all the relatives could say goodbye to him.
And the bulletproof vest, which the hero before his death left to his star sister, Irina plans to give to another defender, who needs the uniform. She told about it on her personal Instagram page (to see the video, scroll to the end of the page).
"Now I have a commemorative bulletproof vest. It's my brother Roma's bulletproof vest, who died for Ukraine. He wore it for a while. It was issued to him in the beginning, and then he was issued other body armor in the military unit. He gave it back, he said, "Ir, maybe someone will need more. And now I have a request - let's send him to the new squad of defenders, " - shared Fedyshyn.
Roman's death has still not been told to his grandmother, who prays daily that her grandson would return from the front unharmed. The performer says that the family is afraid to tell the 83-year-old woman the tragic news because it is unknown how she will react to it.
"You asked me if I could get the body. We haven't been able to get the body... We are waiting... Also, we don't tell my grandmother, who is 83 years old, that he died, because we are afraid of how she will take it. Even though she has asked about him several times. He was her favorite. I understand that she has a right to know, but there is just a fear of how she will take the news. But she prays a lot, and I think prayer is what he needs right now," the celebrity said in tears.
Recall that Irina Fedyshyn's brother was a volunteer. He died defending the independence and freedom of Ukrainians in the Bakhmutsky district. He was only 34 years old. The singer said that she did not believe in the death of her brother when she was told about it.
