Ukrainian singer and volunteer, Miss Universe 2023 contestant Anhelina Usanova shared how the contestant from Russia behaved backstage. This year, the terrorist country was represented by Margarita Golubeva, who tried to make friends with the contestants, handed out gifts and praised the "great" Russian culture.

The contestant from Russia came to El Salvador without a political position, did not apologize to the Ukrainian and avoided her. Only one phrase slipped between the rivals, which Anhelina Usanova told Alina Shamanska in an interview.

"She did not approach me, did not talk to me. There were no provocations. As soon as she saw me on the first day, she said, "I came here in peace". I made it clear that I was grateful that she said this, but communication would still be unnecessary," the singer explained.

According to Usanova, this year's contestant from Russia was less provocative towards the Ukrainian than last year's.
