Paulina Porizkova, an American supermodel of the 90s, has admitted that she underwent bilateral hip replacement surgery. According to the 58-year-old star, she decided on the surgery a long time ago.

She announced this on her Instagram page. The celebrity's cartilage was literally "worn out," so she was diagnosed with hip dysplasia.

"The three doctors I visited all refused when they saw my X-ray," Porizkova wrote. "Bone on bone. At least we know that you are fine with pain tolerance!" they told the supermodel, horrified by what they saw. The specialists noted that it was pointless to operate on one hip. So Porizkova decided to solve the problem at once, because this way the star would be able to recover faster.

The model also admitted that she was just grateful that it was "a problem that could be solved" and she found a doctor she "really trusts and one who specializes in anterior hip replacement."

Not long ago, Porizkova shared photos from her vacation. "It was the last vacation with my old hips - and now it's time for new ones," she said.
