Concert of sub-sanctioned Putinist singer Anna Netrebko canceled in Estonia

Anna Netrebko's concert in Estonia was canceled

In November this year, a concert of Russian opera singer Anna Netrebko, who is known not only for her creativity but also for her friendship with bloody dictator Vladimir Putin, was supposed to take place in the Estonian capital Tallinn. At first, the performance of the artist was postponed several times, but now it has become known that it has been canceled.

The corresponding information appeared on the website of the ticketing company in Estonia Piletilevi. In addition, the event disappeared from the official website of Putinist.

Netrebko was not supposed to perform in Estonia by herself, but with her husband and fellow Azerbaijani Yusif Eyvazov. Their concert was scheduled for April 2021. Due to the pandemic, it was postponed to April 2023 and then to November 14 this year.

However, now the following message has appeared under the poster on the website: "Dear customer, we would like to inform you that the concert of Anna Netrebko and Yusif Eyvazov, scheduled for November 14, 2023 (postponed from 16.04.2021, then 05.04.2023) in Tallinn, is canceled. Funds for the tickets will be refunded automatically to the account from which they were purchased".

This show was to be the first joint show of the couple's career. It was organized by the German company BA Management GmbH in Alexela Concert Hall.

It is not the first time that concerts of the sub-sanctioned singer are canceled. Most recently, on August 17, it became known that Netrebko's performance in Prague, Czech Republic, scheduled for October 16, will also not take place.

Note that Anna Netrebko was a confidante of Vladimir Putin during his election campaign in 2012. In 2014, she supported the Kremlin's actions by donating one million rubles to rebuild the Donbass Opera Theater in occupied Donetsk. And after the full-scale invasion, Putin's friend suddenly "changed her shoes" and spoke out against the war, but no one believed her.

Recall, Netrebko was denied performances at European and American venues soon after the full-scale invasion of Russia in Ukraine. However, only on August 4, 2023, the artist decided to sue the Metropolitan Opera. The performer wants to sue the theater hundreds of thousands of dollars and has already prepared a tearful speech about her heartache.

As reported OBOZREVATEL, Ukrainian singer Lyudmyla Monastyrska replaced Netrebko on the stage of the Metropolitan Opera, where she came out with the Ukrainian flag to loud applause.
