British acrobat falls from 10-meter height during circus show

An acrobat fell from a height of 10 meters in England

The 20-year-old acrobat fell during a stunt on the "giant wheel of death" at the Hippodrome Circus in Great Yarmouth, England, on December 13 in the evening. He was hospitalized with injuries sustained as a result of a hard landing from a height of at least 10 meters.

According to the BBC, the circus director is not sure how badly the artist was injured, but believes that some of his bones are broken. According to witnesses, the circus performer was conscious after the fall.

"It looked like a bad timing. He wanted to jump over one of the wheels and slipped, falling to the floor," said a circus employee.

Two people from the audience - a policeman and a medic - rushed to help the victim. The show was immediately stopped, and an ambulance was called for the acrobat.

The director of the entertainment venue said that in the near future, the occupational health and safety service will conduct an investigation to determine the cause of the incident.

We would like to add that the "wheel of death" is a paired attraction, and the partner of the injured acrobat was his brother. The spectacular act is performed on the so-called Lapedula apparatus without insurance.

It is considered one of the most dangerous in circus shows. Lapedula's apparatus consists of two wheels that are connected into one mechanism, which is suspended at a height and spins during the performance. The wheels themselves also spin around their axis, and inside at this time there are circus performers who move around and show tricks.
