According to MailOnline, before entering Sala Grande for the world premiere of her upcoming biopic Maria, the actress took a moment to talk to her fan. Jolie sat down next to him, sweetly putting her hand on his shoulder.

ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease. It affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. A person with this disease is unable to control the muscles that allow us to move, speak, swallow, and breathe.

Jolie looked stunning in an elegant off-the-shoulder floor-length evening gown as she greeted photographers on the second day of this year's festival.
