An AFU soldier playing Nothing Else Matters on a bandura wins over Metallica: the legendary band has posted the video on their Instagram page with over 12 million followers

Ukrainian soldier Taras Stolyar has won over the members of the cult band Metallica, who have been supporting our country since the beginning of the full-scale war. He performed their song Nothing Else Matters on a bandura and became the star of the band's social media.

Metallica posted a video of his performance to its 12 millionth audience on Instagram. Moreover, the band members spoke about the warrior from Ukraine in detail.

Taras Stolyar is one of the members of the "Cultural Forces" led by Mykola Serga. The man used to work as a member of the electronic band ONUKA, but now serves as a scout in the 112th Separate Brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces.

"We recently learned of Cultural Forces, the cultural arm of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, through our own James Hetfield. @culturalforces.international features seven world-class artists, all professional musicians before the war who are now active-duty soldier. The group just completed a 170-show tour of gratitude in the United States. Seen here, Taras Stoliar (Honored Artist of Ukraine/PFC, Reconnaissance Operative, 112th Separate Brigade, Territorial Defense Forces) plays "Nothing Else Matters" on a 62-string bandura, a traditional Ukrainian folk instrument. With the conclusion of this tour, he is now returning to Ukraine, back to the front," the band said.

As we mentioned, Metallica has been supporting and helping our people since the beginning of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine. Thus, in the summer of 2022, the band raised a million dollars to help Ukraine. The funds were donated to the World Central Kitchen organization. This is a charity project that provides food for people affected by natural disasters, but at the time was helping Ukraine.
