Singer Gaitana, who has been silent about the war in Ukraine for a long time, unexpectedly wished peace to her native country. The pop star of the 2000s posted a fragment of the video for one of her most popular hits, "Ukraine! Be happy!", noting that our citizens are free and happy people.

The singer shared the patriotic post on her Instagram. Earlier, the 45-year-old artist, who has been living abroad since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, outraged fans with a solo Russian-language concert in Kyrgyzstan.

"12 years ago, Semen Horovyi (director and music producer) and I shot a video for the song 'Ukraine! Cheers!' We invited our friends and acquaintances to convey the atmosphere of joy and unity and to show that Ukraine is full of different, free, and happy people. I want peace in my country," the singer wrote.

In the comments, Gaitana started a small interactive with her fans, asking them to tell her what city they were from.
