A Ukrainian played a strange joke at a concert of alyona alyona in the Netherlands – he donated fake hryvnias to the Armed Forces

Ukrainian rapper alyona alyona reported that she was cheated at a concert in Venlo, the Netherlands. A person who was allegedly a Ukrainian donated 7,000 hryvnias to the artist's fundraising, but the money turned out to be fake.

The rapper wrote about this situation on Facebook. During the concert, alyona alyona was raising 148 thousand hryvnias for the 95th Air Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Therefore, when the rapper received 7 thousand from one of the visitors, she was happy and did not check whether the money was real.

"I am currently collecting money to help the 95th Air Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces for 2 mobile electronic warfare devices to be installed on a tractor. Recently I had a concert in the Netherlands in the city of Venlo. The entrance was free for residents, and a lot of people gathered, including about 500 Ukrainians. On that day, someone under the stage handed my backing vocalist Veronika a handful of thousands of hryvnias and asked her to give it to me as a donation to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the artist said.

The alleged charity was donated in 1000 hryvnia bills. Each of them turned out to be counterfeit.

"We were all very happy, because I was just in the middle of a collection, and it was very nice to see people's indifference. However, when I posted about it on Instagram and shared my joy, one of the Ukrainians who was there wrote that these were fake hryvnias. Then I took out this handful of hryvnias, unwrapped them, and it turned out that they were souvenirs," Alyona continued.

She explained that now she would have to replace these souvenir hryvnias with money from her pocket. It is worth noting that earlier on Instagram, the artist reported that she often covers the fees for the Armed Forces with her own money.

"I usually trust people and I was so sad that some Ukrainians abroad allow themselves to make such jokes, while the guys and girls on the front line are not laughing at all. I am asking all of you to donate to my collection. I will put the 7 thousand from my pocket. It is not a problem at all. But I believe in the kindness and sincerity of our Ukrainian people. Please don't let me down!" the rapper wrote.

On Instagram, she also posted a video filmed on August 12 (the day after the concert), in which she sincerely said that young people had donated 7,000 hryvnias during the concert. In particular, in a few days, she managed to raise 23 thousand hryvnias for the army (but only 16 thousand were real).

"For you to understand, yesterday at the concert, our Veronika worked so hard, she lit up the youth there, that the youth gave her 7 thousand hryvnias. She told them to donate it to some kind of fundraiser. I want to remind everyone that I am still raising money. In a few days, we raised 23 thousand. And seven [thousand] came from children who live abroad and wanted to donate," the artist reported at the time.
