A participant of the private space mission Polaris Dawn, SpaceX engineer and violinist Sarah Gillis played the soundtrack from "Star Wars" in weightlessness. On Earth, she was accompanied by an entire orchestra.

The video of the incredible space-Earth music project was streamed from orbit using the Starlink system. The video, titled "Harmony of Sustainability," was published on the X network (formerly Twitter), writes Space.com.

"As we travel around our beautiful planet Earth on this five-day mission, we wanted to share this special musical moment with you. Bringing together talent from around the world, this performance symbolizes unity and hope, highlighting the resilience and potential of children around the world," said Sarah Gillis, introducing the video.

The space violinist performed the song "Rey's Theme," written by John Williams for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." In the video, Gillis can be seen playing the solo violin part of the song along with orchestras performing the song in studios and on sound stages.

The clip was created in partnership with St. Taday's Children's Research Hospital, for which the Polaris program raises money throughout the mission, and El Sistema USA, a program aimed at promoting music education "to positively impact the community."

"Inspired by the universal language of music and the ongoing fight against childhood cancer and disease, this moment was created in hopes of inspiring the next generation to look toward the stars," the Polaris program wrote on its website.

As a reminder, SpaceX's five-day space mission ended on September 15. Financed and led Polaris Dawn billionaire entrepreneur Jared Isaacman. With him on a space journey, he took a longtime friend - a former lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Air Force Scott Potit, who became the pilot of Polaris Dawn. They were joined by SpaceX engineers Sarah Gillis and Anna Manon.

During the space voyage, the amateur astronauts conducted a number of studies and scientific experiments, as well as set several records. The highlight of the mission was Jared Isaacman and Sarah Gillis' spacewalk.
