A man stole 121 phones during a music festival in Switzerland

During the Street Parade techno music festival in Zurich, one of the largest cities in Switzerland, a man stole 121 phones from visitors to the event. The offender, who managed to steal 71 iPhone and 29 Samsung devices, was stopped at the customs office in the Chiasso district.

The 40-year-old suspect was detained when he was trying to travel to Milan by train, Sky News reports. The man wrapped the stolen gadgets in foil and hid them in a suitcase.

According to the police, the thief was a Romanian citizen who visited the largest annual music festival in Switzerland on August 10 and robbed techno fans. He was detained immediately after the discovery of material evidence of the crime.

The man placed several phones in packages made of thin sheets of metal, which he additionally wrapped in a thick blanket. However, despite all the manipulations, law enforcement officers found the devices.

The Swiss police are currently working to return the phones to their rightful owners.
