The winner of the Miss France 2025 beauty pageant has been announced after significant changes were made to the rules of this year's show. The title was won by the oldest contestant in the history of the pageant, 34-year-old flight attendant Angelique Angarni-Philopon, originally from the island of Martinique in the Caribbean.

The organizers changed the rules, giving French women over 24 years old, as well as married women and mothers, the opportunity to show their beauty. This was reported by France 24.

"In 2011, a young woman in her 20s won first place in the Miss Martinique pageant. Today, the same 34-year-old is standing before you, representing Martinique, its diaspora, and all the women who were once told it was too late," Angarni-Philopon said after winning the pageant.

Thirty candidates took part in the final, including doctors and dentists. The participants paraded in swimsuits, regional costumes, and ball gowns. They performed to a variety of music genres, including country, the 90s, salsa, and even Mozart.

After winning the pageant, Angarni-Philopon will receive a year's salary from Miss France, access to a Parisian apartment, and various gifts from sponsors. The organizers of the French beauty pageant said they are "keeping up with the times" and aim to create a platform for sharing stories of successful women and those struggling with issues such as unrealistic appearance standards.
