Antonina Matvienko is a Ukrainian singer.
A brief biography
Antonina Matvienko was born in Kiev, Ukraine on April 12, 1981.
She began singing on stage when she was ten years old in the United States of America, where she visited with her mother, People's Artist of Ukraine, during her tour.
She appeared on stage in Ukraine only a year later, in 1991, singing the national anthem of Ukraine on Independence Square.
In 1999, Tonya Matvienko graduated from a music boarding school in Kiev and entered the Kiev University of Culture, which she graduated in two majors - "public relations manager" and later "folk singing".
She worked as a singer in the Hudgalerie in Kiev, and later as a public relations manager.
In 2006 she became a soloist of the National Ensemble of Soloists "Kyiv Camerata" and in 2007 she recorded her first single "Not a snowstorm in the meadow".
In 2011 Antonina Matvienko participated in the first season of the TV project "The Voice of the Country" on the channel "1+1". Despite failing in the blind auditions, she managed to pass through due to the decision of the producer of the project Konstantin Meladze and was chosen by Ruslana Lyzhychko. Matvienko made it to the final of the project but came in second place.
In 2012 she conducted her first tour together with Arsen Mirzoyan. In total, she toured seven Ukrainian cities.
In 2013, she released her first album "Nove ta najkrasche", recorded together with her mother, Nina Matvienko.
In 2016, she participated in the national selection for "Eurovision".
Personal life
Tonya Matvienko is married. Her husband is the famous Ukrainian singer Arsen Mirzoyan. Antonina has two daughters - Nina and Ulyana.
