Tonya Matvienko revealed what her mother asked for before her death
Tonya Matvienko, the daughter of People's Artist of Ukraine Nina Matvienko, voiced her mother's last request before her death on October 8. In a commentary to the media, the singer said with tears in her eyes that the "flower-soul" of Ukrainian song asked that no one cry at her funeral.

Tonya Matvienko addressed journalists and fans at the National Philharmonic in Kyiv. Nina's son-in-law, singer Arsen Mirzoyan, stood next to her.
"She was an example. She has a very big heart. She is Ukraine. I know that she can hear me, I want to say thank you for her contribution to Ukraine. I will listen to her songs and know that she is with me. I thank her for everything. She asked that no one cry at the funeral. She asked us to remember something good," the artist said.
Artists Dmytro Monatik, Amador Lopez, the Verevka Choir, Oleg Sobchuk, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, Verkhovna Rada Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk, Acting Minister of Culture Rostyslav Karandeyev and the singer's fans came to say goodbye to the Ukrainian pop star.
The military also came to the funeral and honored the memory of the Ukrainian music legend. Some of them knelt down in front of the coffin.
Nina Matvienko died two days before her 76th birthday. Ukrainians admired the artist for her charming voice and deep Ukrainian songs.
