Ukraine destroyed about 33% of Russian Black Sea Fleet - AFU's Center for Strategic Communication
During Russia's full-scale aggression against Ukraine, the Defense Forces put about a third of the Russian Black Sea Fleet ships out of commission. Twenty-four ships and one submarine were sunk or severely damaged.
In total, the Russian Black Sea Fleet had 74 warships in service. The Center for Strategic Communication of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on the achievements of the Defense Forces in "demilitarizing" the enemy fleet in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
"About 33% of the warships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet were destroyed by Ukraine during the large-scale invasion. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, our military destroyed 24 Russian ships and one submarine," the Center noted.
In total, before the full-scale invasion, the Russian fleet in Crimea consisted of 74 warships. These figures were reported in open sources.
"Aggression against Ukraine is bad for your fleet," the Center sarcastically summarized.
We would like to remind you that the latest losses of the Russian Black Sea Fleet include the Ivanovets missile boat. It was destroyed in Crimea on February 1 by special forces of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. The boat was destroyed by a direct hit when it was on combat duty. The Russians have no hope of restoring the vessel.
After the impressive operation, the British Ministry of Defense said that the destruction of the Ivanovets would affect the management of the Black Sea Fleet.
