Satellite photos of the aftermath of a strike on a large oil depot in occupied Feodosia have been posted online. According to them, the fire at the facility used by the Russian occupiers in the war against Ukraine has been burning for two days.

The photos were published by Radio Liberty's Schemes project. The Planet Labs satellite images from October 8, which were obtained by journalists, show large puffs of black and white smoke on the territory of the oil depot in Feodosia.

This oil depot is called the largest in Russian-occupied Ukrainian Crimea.

Satellite photos show that on Tuesday, October 8, as of 11:44 a.m. Kyiv time, a large-scale fire at the facility continues.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, on the night of October 7, Ukrainians heard explosions in occupied Feodosia, the occupation authorities announced a fire at the oil depot in Feodosia and the evacuation of more than a thousand residents.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the "successful strike" of the missile forces and called this offshore oil terminal the largest in Crimea in terms of transshipment of oil products, which were used, among other things, for the needs of the Russian occupation army.

According to media reports, several fuel tanks caught fire at the oil depot in Feodosia.

Judging by satellite photos, the oil depot in the port of Feodosia has been guarded by Pantsir-S1 since the fall of 2022, which failed to repel the latest night attack. Supposedly, at dawn on October 7, two missiles hit the target, the media speculated.
