General Marchenko: if everything goes according to the plan of the General Staff, the Kinburn Spit will soon be ours

The temporarily occupied Kinburn Spit in the Mykolaiv region is included in the set of measures for the offensive actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. If everything goes according to the General Staff's plan, the spit will soon be ours.

This was stated by Major General Dmytro Marchenko in an interview with Yanina Sokolova. According to him, the General Staff has a plan to liberate Kinburn (to watch the video, scroll to the bottom of the page).

"I can't say for sure and disclose details, but if what the General Staff has planned works out, the spit will soon be ours," General Marchenko said.

He also spoke about the situation in the southern sector. According to the general, Ukrainian troops are steadily advancing on the left bank of the Kherson region.

"Our troops are moving to the left bank. I will not reveal any military secrets when I say that we have already redeployed some forces, and they are now trying to gain a foothold to plan further offensive actions. This is the maximum I can tell you now," the general said.

At the same time, Dmytro Marchenko noted that although the situation is very difficult, Ukrainian marines are coping with their task.

"The transfer is taking place under fire, under the control of the Russian side, their UAVs are constantly flying in the sky. But our marines are coping with the task, although it is difficult for them, but they are doing it," the general emphasized.

Earlier, it was reported that it would be difficult for the Russian military command to deploy combat-ready reinforcements to respond to the Ukrainian Armed Forces' operations on the left bank of the Kherson region. In particular, while simultaneously defending its positions in western Zaporizhzhia and supporting other offensive efforts in eastern Ukraine.
