DIU shows spectacular footage of the destruction of the Russian ship "Sergey Kotov". Video
The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine has published footage of the destruction of the Russian warship "Sergey Kotov" off the coast of the temporarily occupied Crimea. A powerful explosion hit the side of the enemy vessel due to a MAGURA V5 drone, after which part of the ship went up in flames.
As a result of the attack, the ship sank to the bottom of the Black Sea. This was reported by the press service of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.
Ukrainian intelligence showed that there were several explosions near the ship. After one of them, part of the enemy vessel caught fire. The DIU also noted that there were dead and wounded among the ship's crew. After the attack, the invaders brought a dozen ambulances to the shore, hoping to rescue the occupants' survivors.
Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, told Radio Liberty that there had been successful attacks on the Serhiy Kotov ship before, but the occupiers had restored it. This time the ship finally went down.
He also emphasized that there are dead and wounded among the crew. Yusov added that part of the crew managed to evacuate, so the exact number of the eliminated invaders is being clarified.
The patrol ship of Project 22160 "Sergey Kotov" was armed with a 76.2 mm AK176MA artillery system. It was also equipped with a Positive-MK radar station with a range of 300 km. The crew consisted of 80 people, and the ship was also equipped with a helicopter pad.
As a reminder, the network reported an alleged massive attack by "Ukrainian" UAVs and maritime drones on ground targets in the temporarily occupied Crimea. The propagandists complained that the Black Sea Fleet ships and the Crimean bridge were also targeted.
