Unity is the most effective weapon. Therefore, Ukrainians must be strong, united and do everything to withstand the war against the aggressor and return the temporarily occupied territories. But to defeat evil, we need the unity of the entire free world.

This was stated by Volodymyr Zelensky in his traditional address on the evening of October 30. He thanked the Ukrainian soldiers who bravely repel the enemy and spoke about the important talks he had with his partners.

The Head of State began his address by thanking the Ukrainian defenders who are fighting in the hottest areas of the frontline.

In particular, Volodymyr Zelensky noted: The 53rd and 110th separate mechanized brigades, the 79th airborne brigade, which are repelling the Russians near Avdiivka and Maryinka, the 14th, 32nd and 57th separate motorized infantry brigades, which are defending the Kupiansk direction, the 80th separate air assault brigade and the 93rd separate mechanized brigade, which are fighting back the Russians near Bakhmut, and the 33rd separate mechanized brigade, which is taking part in the fighting in the south.

"I am grateful to all the soldiers who, with their assaults and their resilience - heroic resilience - prove in practice that Ukraine is able to withstand Russian pressure, is able to destroy the occupiers, is able to win," Zelensky emphasized.

The Head of State said that Russia is not able to withstand the strategic confrontation that it has organized on Ukrainian soil.

"Strategically, we all have to be strong, we have to be united, we have to do the possible and the impossible to stand up, to get ours back and prove that freedom is definitely stronger than hatred and aggression. This requires our unity, the unity of the whole of Europe, the unity of America, the unity of the entire free world. Unity is the most effective, accurate and long-range weapon," Zelensky said.

He noted that Ukraine should "soberly assess" the Russian system.

"They have mobilized all their forces to try not to lose what they have seized in Ukraine, but at the same time they have polluted their territory with such a level of hatred and degradation that for the second time this year, Russia is losing control of events. Either the rebels march on Moscow and no one stops them, or the vertical of power in Dagestan evaporates and a real pogrom takes place. These are all signals that Russia can still withstand hostilities and sometimes increase pressure on the front, but it is not able to withstand this confrontation strategically," Zelensky added.

President held important meetings with partners

In his evening address, Volodymyr Zelensky said that he had held important talks with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte. The President clarified that during the conversation, he had informed him about the situation on the frontline, the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and described the capabilities of our military. He also thanked for the assistance.

"I am grateful for the help! For the air defense systems, for the shells for our soldiers, for the powerful things that help us keep the eastern part of the Black Sea safe. Our agreements with Mark, which we discussed during our meeting in Odesa, are being implemented. It is also very important that the Netherlands became the first country outside the G7 with whom we started bilateral work on security guarantees. We also discussed with Mr. Prime Minister the results of the meeting of advisers on the Peace Formula in Malta," the Head of State said.

The President of Ukraine also said that he had met with a delegation of the U.S. Congress. He thanked the partners, including President Joe Biden and his team, who support Ukraine. During the meeting with the congressmen, Zelenskyy also spoke about the accurate use of ATACMS missiles.

"I briefed the congressmen on the situation at the frontline, on the very successful use of American "Atakams" recently transferred to our Defense Forces. Of course, we also discussed the continuation of military and budgetary support," the President of Ukraine said.

In addition, Zelenskyy also held a wrap-up meeting on the meeting of advisers in Malta and further plans for the Peace Formula, as well as a meeting on the expected assessment of progress in European integration by the European Commission. In particular, the President of Ukraine also held a meeting on a strategy to keep the world's attention on Ukraine.
