We are forced to rotate: instead of Wagner mercenaries, Russian paratroopers are entering Bakhmut, - Cherevaty.

Cherevaty talks about the dubious position of Wagener's men in Bakhmut

The spokesperson for the Eastern Group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Serhiy Cherevaty, said that the Wagner PMC militants in the direction of Bakhmut are being spontaneously replaced by Russian airborne troops. The rotations are forced, based on the losses inflicted on the mercenaries by the Defence Forces.

He spoke about this on the air of the UA Razom telethon. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine keeps track of the names of all enemy battalions that are being replaced by the Wagnerites.

"There are rotation events, primarily due to the heavy losses of the Wagner criminal group. They are forced to do so. Units of the occupier's airborne troops and motorised infantry units are entering. We know their names, we know their commanders and their combat potential," Cherevaty stressed.

At the same time, he said, all the units deployed as part of the rotation have already taken part in the battle for Bakhmut. They all suffered losses, so after leaving their positions, they were replenished with newly mobilised men.

As a reminder, NSDC Secretary Danilov confirmed that some of the Wagner mercenaries were retreating from Bakhmut. At the same time, he noted that Prigozhin's troops were not withdrawing at all, but were regrouping in three other locations.

Earlier, OBOZREVATEL reported that, according to the authoritative Western press, the Russian army has actually reached a dead end while trying to besiege Bakhmut, and will soon completely lose the initiative in the fighting. While the occupiers were trying to take control of the last neighbourhoods of the city, the fighting had significantly moved into the territory of the Russian Federation itself.
