The owner of the Russian private military company Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, said that the Russian army was fleeing the battlefield near Bakhmut. In particular, he said that the 72nd Separate Motorised Rifle Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces was fleeing. This information is true.

The published footage shows the occupiers hastily leaving the frontline when they saw the tanks and infantry of the Ukrainian Defence Forces. Not all Russian invaders managed to leave the battlefield unharmed.
For example, during two days of attacks on the southwestern outskirts of Bakhmut, soldiers of the 3rd Separate Mechanised Brigade as part of the Azov Tactical Group killed 64 occupants and wounded 87 others. Prigozhin, meanwhile, said that if the front line for the Russians collapses, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will allegedly reach Rostov, and Russia will lose this war.
