The Security Service of Ukraine has neutralized an FSB agent network that had been collecting data for Russian "Smerch" and "Hurricane" systems to attack Kharkiv. The criminals were neutralized as a result of a multi-stage special operation.

The enemy group included three local residents who collected intelligence about the locations and movements of the Defense Forces in the region. This is reported by the SSU press service (to see the photo, scroll to the end of the page).

The intruders tried to determine the directions of redeployment of AFU units, which are involved in the counterattack on the eastern frontline. They were also interested in the routes of movement and temporary storage points of foreign weapons and ammunition of the Defense Forces.

The Russian agents forwarded the obtained information to the FSB via Telegram messenger. The intelligence was required by the occupants to prepare and conduct massive missile strikes on Kharkiv using Russian "Smerch" and "Hurricane" multiple-launch rocket systems.

SSU officers detained the perpetrators while they were performing the enemy's tasks. According to investigators, they were involved in tacit cooperation with the FSB cadre at the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia. Among those recruited was a former teacher of a local military educational institution. During searches, cell phones and computer equipment were found in the possession of the intruders with the aggressor hot on the trail.

Based on the collected evidence investigators of the Security Service informed the detainees on suspicion under part 2 of article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law). Currently, a preventive measure in the form of detention without the right to bail is chosen for each of them. The perpetrators face a life sentence. The special operation was carried out by SSU officers in Kharkiv Region under the procedural guidance of the regional prosecutor's office.

As a reminder, the Security Service exposed one of the current MPs of Ukraine for committing a crime, specifically demanding money from a citizen of one of the European countries. For $50 thousand he allegedly promised the foreigner his assistance in avoiding extradition.

Earlier it was reported that the Security Service of Ukraine announced the suspicion of more than 200 people who illegally disseminated information about the activities of the air defense and other military forces. In fact, these people helped the enemy in the preparation, implementation and adjustment of air strikes on our territory.

- The SSU reported the suspicion of the ex-chairman of the Chabanivka village council in the Kyiv region. The perpetrator, who formerly headed the local cell of the banned "Party of Regions", urged his subordinates to surrender to the occupiers;

- The SSU detained the adjuster of a Russian missile strike on a cafe in Kramatorsk on June 27. The agent of the special services of the Russian Federation, a local resident, was detained hot on the trail by employees of the counterintelligence service;

- The SSU counterintelligence also detained the administrator of a pro-Kremlin Telegram channel. The traitor was leaking the locations of the AFU on the eastern front to the occupants.
