The Russian occupation army continues to attack in different directions in an attempt to break through the defense of Ukrainian troops. Over the course of April 28, 131 combat engagements took place at the frontline.

The enemy has significantly increased the number of attacks in the Avdiivka sector, with 55 combat engagements taking place there over the last day. This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of the morning of April 29.

On April 28, the occupants launched one missile and 82 air strikes, fired 108 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of our troops and localities.

The settlements of Velyka Pysarivka, Kharkiv region; Serebryanske forestry, Bilohorivka, Luhansk region; Spirne, Verkhnekamyanske, Siversk, Hryhorivka, Oleksandropil, Ocheretyne, Novokalynove, Paraskoviivka, Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, Vodyane, Kostiantynivka, Urozhayne, Staromayorske in Donetsk region; Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia region; Krynky, Kostyrka, Beryslav, Novoberislav, Prydniprovske, Veletenske, Kizomys in Kherson region.

More than 120 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.

The operational situation in the Volyn and Polissya sectors remains unchanged.

In the Siversky and Slobozhansky sectors, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas and conducts subversive activities to prevent the deployment of our troops to threatened areas.

In the Kupyansk sector, our troops repelled 6 attacks near Berestove in Kharkiv region and Stelmakhivka in Luhansk region.

In the Lyman sector, the enemy conducted 18 attacks near Kopanky and Novosergiivka in Kharkiv region; Makiivka, Nevske and Serebryanske forestry in Luhansk region; and Terny in Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut sector, our troops repelled 29 attacks near Verkhnekamianske, Vyymka, Hryhorivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiyivka, Novy, and Andriivka in Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka sector, Ukrainian troops repelled 55 attacks in the areas of Novokalynove, Keramik, Arkhangelske, Umanske, Sokil, Ocheretyne, Kalynove, Solovyove, Novopokrovske, Novoselivka Persha and west of Semenivka in Donetsk region.

In the Novopavlivka sector, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Vodiane, Novomykhailivka, and Urozhayne in the Donetsk region, where the enemy, supported by aviation, tried to break through the defense of our troops 15 times.

In the Orikhiv sector, the occupants attacked the positions of our defenders 4 times in the vicinity of Staromayorske, Donetsk region.

In the Kherson sector, the enemy has not abandoned its intention to drive our units from their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River, attacking our defenders' positions 5 times near Krynky, Kherson region.

At the same time, our soldiers continue to actively inflict losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, depleting the enemy along the entire front line.

Yesterday, the aviation of the Defense Forces struck 13 areas where enemy personnel were concentrated. Missile troops struck at the enemy's personnel concentration area and command center.

As a reminder, the army of the Russian terrorist state has concentrated its efforts on several frontlines, some of which have achieved tactical success, creating a significant advantage in forces and means. The situation is escalating, with the most difficult being on the Pokrovske and Kurakhove directions.

Earlier, Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrsky said the situation on the front line was worsening. While in Zaporizhzhia and the left bank of the Kherson region the invaders have not made any special achievements, and in the Kupyansk and Lyman directions Ukrainian soldiers managed to improve their tactical positions, the invaders managed to advance west of Avdiivka and south of Maryinka in the Donetsk region.
