The Russian Federation attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles and killed three people: among them a child, many people were wounded

Russia attacked Kyiv again

On the night of Thursday, June 1, Russian occupation forces attacked Kyiv with missiles, and many loud explosions were heard in the capital - more than ten in just a few minutes. Air defense forces shot down the enemy targets, but their falling remnants caused destruction and, unfortunately, deaths and injuries, among them children.

In particular, debris fell on a children's clinic and the roadway, the blast blew out windows and doors in houses and burned several cars - children were among the victims. Details of the night attack were reported in the Kiev city military administration (to see the photo, scroll to the end of the news).

After the announcement of the air alert at 02:49, Kyiv City Military Administration pointed to the threat of an attack from the Russian Federation and urged residents to take care of their own safety.

"A series of explosions in the city. Air defense is working. Stay in shelters!" - Vitaly Klitschko, the mayor of Kншv, wrote.

He then added that after the explosions there were calls in several areas of the capital, where the emergency services went.

 

 

As of this morning, the Kyiv City Military Administration told about the consequences of the Russian terrorist act. According to the head of the agency, Serhiy Popko, the Russian missiles did not fly into Kyiv from airplanes. Preliminarily, they were cruise missiles of the ballistic type.

 

"All detected aerial targets were destroyed by our air defense forces and assets. Unfortunately, there are casualties and destruction from falling debris," he noted.

 

At first it was noted that the victims of the Russian attack were two children 5-6 and 12-13 years old. However, around 07:00, KCMA clarified that a total of three people died (all in Desnyanskyi district), including one child born in 2012. Ten more people were injured (two in Dniprovskyi district), including one child. No information on injuries was received from Darnytskyi district.

 

All three districts recorded damage in the residential and non-residential sectors. In particular, in the Dniprovsky district:

- windows and doors in the house were smashed, the blast wave ripped off the balcony;

- debris falling on a children's clinic;

- windows and doors in two schools were broken;

- debris damaged the police station;

- windows were blown out of the kindergarten due to the falling debris.

 

Damage in the Dniprovsky district:

- heavy smoke in one of the houses, the blast wave blew out the windows;

- debris fell on an administrative building;

- there is damage to parked cars, several vehicles burned;

- debris fell in the yards of houses, on the roadway, and in green areas.

 

In Darnitskiy district:

- in one of the houses the blast wave knocked out the windows;

- the hot water supply pipeline was damaged;

- debris fell on a non-residential building, destruction on the first floor was recorded;

- falling debris in the yards of houses, on the roadway.

 

According to the AFU General Staff, Russia used Iskander operational-tactical missiles on civilian and critical infrastructure facilities in the Kyiv region during the night. Preliminary, the Air Force forces destroyed 10 of the 10 missiles.

 
 

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, on the night of Tuesday, May 30, the occupiers again attacked Kyiv. There were explosions in the Ukrainian capital, and air defense forces were working. Unfortunately, a 33-year-old woman died as a result of falling UAV debris, and 13 other people were injured (in the region as a whole).
