Occupiers move forces from Tokmak and Molochansk - mass media

The Russian army has begun to move its forces from some temporarily occupied towns in Zaporizhzhia region. Amid losses, the invaders are moving into villages where they can still hide behind civilians as a human shield.

Locals note that the enemy is expecting a counterattack by the AFU. This was reported by the Ukrainian publication RIA-Melitopol in the Telegram channel (to view the map, scroll to the end of the news).

"According to the residents of Tokmak and Molochansk, where the enemy suffers significant losses every day due to constant shelling by AFU groups, the Rash*sts are withdrawing from these towns," the report reads.

People said that if before the occupants set up their bases in local schools, hangars and factories, now they have changed their tactics.

In particular, soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces settle in private houses in the villages, as well as in plantations. They dig trenches and build dugouts in the fields, hiding underground.

"Moreover, in conversation with the locals they say bluntly: 'When are you going to attack already? We packed our bags," writes the media.

At the same time, the publication adds that in the temporarily occupied Melitopol in Zaporizhzhia, on the contrary, the number of Russian troops is increasing.

Thus, especially many of them were noticed in the lower part of the city, near the Central and Obraztsovy markets, where local merchants do business on military uniforms of the Russian Army.

"Rash*sts are actively looking for "mesh" - summer uniforms due to the hot weather. In addition, recently the airfield has been actively bringing tanks of fuel to the airfield. Helicopters are circling over the airfield and the surrounding area on a daily basis," the report said.

The mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, confirmed that the occupiers are actively preparing for defenses, a process that has been underway for several months. To build defenses around Melitopol, the occupiers are using everything they have at hand, from World War II defensive lines to water. They are flooding the fields both near the front line in Mykhailivka and from the Crimean side near Yakimivka.

"Unfortunately, they had the last year to prepare ditches, defensive structures, etc. So today there are three lines of defense structures from the front line to Melitopol. Just a few weeks ago they started flooding the fields to make them more difficult for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to pass through," he said on an all-Ukrainian telethon.

According to the mayor, at the seized airfield in Melitopol, located near a residential area, the invaders stock up on tanks with fuel.

"The occupiers are hustling, the Defense Forces are tracking and minuscule," Fedorov noted.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, the Russian Armed Forces are not only building fortification lines in the temporarily occupied part of Zaporizhzhya. The invaders have taken to flooding some areas to create natural obstacles in case of an attack by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

On May 25, another "bavovna" occurred in the area of the captured Melitopol airfield. Preliminarily, the occupants' ammunition detonated there.
