Russians shelled Kherson during evacuation of people from Ostriv neighbourhood: law enforcement officers wounded. Video.

Ostriv is rapidly sinking under water

The Russian occupiers have committed another terrible crime. They shelled Kherson during the evacuation of people from the Ostriv neighbourhood. As a result, law enforcement officers were wounded.

According to the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, the Russian war criminals fired from artillery. He noted that this neighbourhood of Kherson is under daily shelling by the occupiers, and the undermining of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station dam has added another danger - water (to watch the video, scroll to the bottom of the page).

"Ostriv is rapidly sinking under water. The flooding is so enormous that in some places it is no longer possible to leave by car. That's why people are being helped to evacuate. Even in such a difficult time, the Russians have decided to remind us who they really are - terrorists," said the head of the Regional Military Administration.

According to him, during the evacuation, the occupiers shelled the neighbourhood with artillery and wounded two law enforcement officers who were helping people leave the dangerous area.

"Despite this, about 1,300 Kherson residents were evacuated today. These people are now safe and that is the most important thing. Rescuers, police, volunteers. I am grateful to each and every person who contributed to the rescue of Kherson residents," Prokudin added.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, US intelligence has information that the aggressor country Russia is behind the undermining of the Kakhovka hydroelectric dam. The main motive for this step of the occupiers was probably to deter the counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Due to the Russian occupiers' blowing up of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant, the Kinburn Spit, located on the coast of Mykolaiv region, may temporarily become an island. This situation is expected to complicate the logistics of Putin's army;

After the occupiers blew up the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kherson launched evacuation points. As of 17:20 on June 6, rescuers have already evacuated 1300 citizens.
