According to Serhii Popko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, as a result of the successful work of the air defense forces, all strike drones near the capital were destroyed. At the same time, civilian and critical infrastructure were hit in some regions. As a result of a drone attack in the Kyiv region that occurred on the night of March 21-22, a civilian facility was damaged. According to preliminary information, three people were killed, and seven others were wounded.

Russian terrorists also attacked the Zhytomyr region with Shahed-type kamikaze drones. Some of the UAVs were shot down by anti-aircraft defense forces. However, one enemy drone reached its target and attacked an infrastructure facility.

Movement of enemy UAVs was detected in the direction of Cherkasy, Poltava and Zhytomyr regions, where air defense forces operated, Khmelnytskyi region, where air defense forces started operating as well, and Rivne region. It is noted that the enemy used balloons together with UAVs.

The Ukrainian Air Force Command specified that the Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine with strike kamikaze Iranian-made type Shahed-136/131 drones about 11:30 p.m. The enemy launched the drones from the territory of the Bryansk region.

"The forces and means of the Ukrainian Air Force and other components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine destroyed 16 out of 21 attack drones, mainly in the area of responsibility of the Air Command "Center" of the Ukrainian Air Force," the message reads.

Recall, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that on the night of March 22, the Russian occupation troops launched another attack with Iranian-made kamikaze drones. In total, Russian terrorists launched 21 drones on the territory of our country. As a result of the work of anti-aircraft defense forces 16 UAVs were destroyed.
