Russia is increasing the pace of drone production: Gumenyuk points to threat to Ukraine

The terrorist state of Russia is trying to establish its own production of Shahed kamikaze attack drones. The aggressor intends to produce UAVs on its own because of fears of a supply cut-off from Iran.
Ukrainians should also be prepared for the fact that Russia will continue to terrorise civilians. This was stated by Natalia Gumenyuk, head of the Joint Press Centre of the Security and Defence Forces "South", during a telethon.
According to her, the Russian occupiers feel their superiority in the air, so they use this method of terrorising the civilian population of Ukraine to the maximum.
At the same time, Gumenyuk noted that Russia has already begun to use its own Shaheds for attacks on the territory of Ukraine. Moscow fears that Iran may stop supplying drones due to sanctions.
"The enemy will continue to put pressure on us from the air, in particular because they currently have air superiority and use this method of terror as often as possible. The fact that they are trying to set up this production is justified by the fear that sanctions against Iran could stop these supplies. We do not lose hope that the international community will press this issue," said Gumenyuk.
The Operational Command "South" also said that it is not yet possible to say exactly how many drones of its own production Russia is using. The conclusions are based on the wreckage of the downed UAVs, and a more accurate report can be provided by experts studying the consequences of the attacks.
As a reminder, the occupation forces of the aggressor country Russia attacked Odesa and the region with Kalibr cruise missiles and kamikaze attack drones on the night of 14 August. The wreckage of enemy missiles fell in the city, causing fires and destruction, and injuring three people.
Earlier it was reported that the occupiers have recently changed their tactics of using Shahed attack drones. In particular, the enemy began to use them mainly at night and at extremely low altitudes, constantly changing the construction of routes.
As OBOZREVATEL wrote, the aggressor country Russia may well resort to shelling Ukraine on Independence Day, 24 August, as well as on any other day. At the same time, the defenders of Ukrainian skies will continue to monitor the situation, warn of and respond to threats.
