More than 10 enemy positions have been captured on the outskirts of Bakhmut: Defence forces are operating at the limit of superhuman capabilities

Captured enemy soldiers from different units

On the outskirts of Bakhmut, Donetsk Oblast, Ukrainian defenders captured more than 10 enemy positions. This is a huge result. Our soldiers are acting on the verge of superhuman capabilities.

This was stated by Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Anna Maliar. According to her, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to move forward in the Bakhmut direction in the suburbs.

"Our units have captured more than ten enemy positions in the north and south of Bakhmut's outskirts and cleared a large area of forest in the Ivanivka district. Enemy soldiers from different units were captured. Against all odds. When it is incredibly likely. Anyone who knows the real situation and is there now understands the urgency of the situation. This is when 1 metre is worth 10 km in terms of the complexity of the task," said Maliar.

She stressed that the soldiers are acting at the limit of their superhuman capabilities - tough, decisive and professional.

"It is very hot in Bakhmut itself. The enemy has gathered all its forces there and is trying to advance, destroying everything in its path. Fierce fighting continues. Commander Syrskyi keeps the situation under control. He analyses, plans and makes decisions. As it should be, a real combat general with his troops in the hottest moments. Next to him, Brigadier Generals Bohomolov and Hnatov skilfully lead their subordinate troops. They are implementing the overall plan of the operation," added Maliar.

The Deputy Minister added that the success of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is due to the thoughtful planning of the command and immediate response to the enemy's actions.

"Thanks to the resilience and courage of our soldiers, the enemy is currently unable to surround the city and achieve a resounding victory in this area," said Maliar.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Valerii Zaluzhnyi noted that Russian troops are suffering huge losses in the Donetsk operational area. According to him, the Defence Forces are eliminating most of the occupiers in the area of Bakhmut, which is the site of fierce fighting.
