First specialists trained to maintain F-16 fighter jets start returning to Ukraine

F-16s will soon appear in the Ukrainian sky

Specialists in the maintenance of Western F-16 fighter jets have begun returning to Ukraine from their training abroad. The specialists who have already arrived back home will be able to share their knowledge and experience with their colleagues.

At the same time, the training process is "continuous" and "will continue on an ongoing basis." This was stated by Iliia Yevlash, the spokesman for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during a telethon.

"Of course, there are never too many of these specialists. Already the first specialists in this field have begun to return to Ukraine," Yevlash said.

According to the Air Force spokesperson, these specialists will be able to share their experience with other Ukrainian military technicians.

"We have already seen, for example, that the first F-16 simulator, which was handed over to us by the Czech Republic, appeared in Ukraine. Of course, this process is ongoing and will continue," Yevlash said.

Earlier today, it was reported that a group of Ukrainian servicemen had completed F-16 maintenance training in the Netherlands. The soldiers learned to service all the important parts of the aircraft.

Particular attention was paid to the pilot's helmet, oxygen systems, and parachutes on board the fighter jet. The training program for Ukrainian servicemen also included the assembly and testing of a rescue kit. This allows the pilot to survive for several days after a forced landing, as the kit contains food and medicine, among other things.
