On the morning of February 14, explosions were heard in the temporarily occupied Crimea. They were heard in Yalta, Alupka and Miskhor, and the explosions were preceded by flashes in the sea.

This was reported by Crimean Wind. According to OBOZ.UA's intelligence sources, the morning explosions were the result of DIU operation: the soldiers managed to sink the Russian large landing ship Caesar Kunikov.

"Five explosions were heard in Yalta, Miskhor and Alupka, according to subscribers... Perhaps these are missile launches from the sea," Crimean Wind reported on the morning of February 14.

Residents of the listed settlements claim that they first saw flashes in the sea, followed by the sound of explosions. They were so strong that the blast wave in Alupka caused windows to open.

And one of the subscribers of Crimean Wind in Simeiz said that the air raid alert sounded on the Russian ship. Machine gun bursts were also heard from the sea.

"The location of the explosions in the sea, which began at 06.04 Moscow time, is probably in the area of Miskhor. There were no sounds of missile launches, our subscribers say. According to unconfirmed reports, a Russian ship was attacked," Crimean Wind later added.

A little later, the administrators of the public, citing an eyewitness, noted that after the explosions, the Russian large landing ship sank.

Eyewitnesses also filmed new explosions in the sea near the village of Katsiveli.

"Another explosion in the sea opposite the village of Katsiveli, a strong shock wave. It looks like a ship's ammunition is exploding. We can see that another ship is here to rescue the "drowned" ship. A submarine is also visible nearby," Crimean Wind writes.

In addition to the rescue ship, boats were also spotted near the Caesar Kunikov.

The Russians have also raised two Mi-8 helicopters. They flew along the coast from Alupka to Katsiveli and back, keeping low over the sea. They were joined by Ka-27s later.

According to our sources, the Main Intelligence Directorate conducted an effective attack on an enemy ship in the Black Sea near the southern coast of Crimea. They used drones to attack the Russian Caesar Kunikov warship.

According to our source, after being hit, the LLS first tilted to the side and then sank. It happened near Alupka.

The crew had virtually no chance of being rescued: the hole was large, so the Caesar Kunikov sank very quickly.

In addition to the Crimeans, an American reconnaissance UAV is also observing the naval battle off the coast of Crimea, according to the Crimean Wind monitoring group.

"According to Flightradar, a Northrop Grumman RQ-4B Global Hawk UAV with the call sign FORTE12 took off from the Sigonella NATO air base in Sicily and is conducting reconnaissance over the Black Sea at a distance of 100-120 km from the Crimean air defense and coastline. The task of such a UAV is to uncover air defense areas and collect data on how the Russian Armed Forces respond to combat situations. Since the beginning of the war, Western intelligence agencies have been sharing information with Ukraine in real time," the statement said.

Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on another "repelling of the attack of the Kyiv regime" after Crimeans woke up to powerful explosions.

"Last night, the Kyiv regime's attempt to carry out a terrorist attack using nine UAVs against targets in the Russian Federation was stopped. The unmanned aerial vehicles were intercepted and destroyed by regular air defense systems over the territories of Belgorod (2 UAVs) and Voronezh (1 UAV) regions, as well as over the Black Sea (6 UAVs)," the occupiers said.
