"Isn't yours enough?" Russian track and field athlete angered by Mahuchikh's words
Russian athlete Elena Kulichenko, who will represent Cyprus at the 2024 Olympics, has reacted angrily to Yaroslava Mahuchikh's words about her admission to the Games. The Ukrainian criticized the permission for the Odintsovo native to compete in Paris, which literally enraged her rival in the high jump.
Kulichenko said this in an interview with Sport24. According to the representative of the aggressor country, Mahuchikh is allegedly politicizing sports, calling the athlete pro-Russian. The pseudo-Cypriot also admitted that she does not communicate with our compatriot.
"Yes, I saw what they said. But again, we've been to the sector twice, she doesn't contact me, I don't tell her anything. If I hadn't known about it, I would have gone on with my life, but then this thought was running through my head, I was thinking: "Shit, did she really say or didn't she?". It's so annoying when they start to drag politics into sports, I think: don't you have enough of your own? Politicians have places to do all this, why are you dragging it into sports? Let us compete in peace," Kulichenko said.
It should be noted that before the start of the Olympics, the athlete got into a high-profile scandal when her OnlyFans account was discovered. At the same time, Kulichenko's brother blamed Ukraine and Yaroslava Maguchikh for everything.
