On Friday, May 5, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy opened a summit in Kyiv to mark the anniversary of the UNITED24 fundraising platform. The Head of State stressed that the Ukrainian Victory Day will definitely come.

The corresponding video was published by the Office of the President. Zelenskyy noted that the UNITED24 platform has united a huge community of people: from Ukraine to North America, from Britain to Australia, from Japan to Latin America, as well as the Arab world, India and all European countries.

"In its first year, the Ukrainian fundraising platform has become a global brand - and global proof that nothing is impossible when you bet on the state's priority for humanity. The Ukrainian Victory Day will definitely come. In particular, thanks to the UNITED24 community. I am grateful to each and every one of you who helps us to go this way, to stand and protect lives!" - he stressed.

It is worth noting that the platform has raised more than USD 325 million in contributions from international companies, Ukrainian businesses, charities, global celebrities and donors from 110 countries.

All funds are transferred to the accounts of the National Bank of Ukraine and allocated to the relevant ministries: Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Infrastructure.

The funds raised through United24 were used to purchase:

• 176 ambulances,
• hundreds of pieces of medical equipment,
• ammunition for Ukrainian defenders,
• the first demining vehicle in Ukraine,

In addition, more than 3,839 UAVs/UAV systems were contracted, as well as 11 bridges were rebuilt in the de-occupied territories of the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions and the world's first fleet of marine drones was established.

"In its first year, the Ukrainian fundraising platform has become a global brand and global proof that nothing is impossible when you rely on the priority of the state of Ukraine - humanity. Millions of people from over a hundred countries support our country through United24. On this day, we once again express our gratitude to all the donors of the platform, whose contributions save lives, restore lives, protect lives and bring Ukraine's victory closer," Zelenskyy said.

It is worth noting that 15 stars have become ambassadors of the platform: singer and actress Barbra Streisand, actors Mark Hamill and Liev Schreiber, actress Katheryn Winnick, Imagine Dragons, Balenciaga Creative Director Demna, director Michelle Azanavicius, Astronauts, C. A. D. Branson, country singer Brad Paisley, traveller Bear Grylls, prominent Ukrainian athletes Elina Svitolina, Andriy Shevchenko and Oleksandr Usyk.

According to OBOZREVATEL, the bridge over the Ingulets River in the Bashtanka District of the Mykolaiv Region, which was destroyed by the Russian occupiers during their escape from the Ukrainian Armed Forces in November 2022, has been restored with the help of UNITED24 and AWT Bavaria. It was opened on Wednesday, March 15.
