The world should speed up support for Ukraine in the war with Russia, - Olena Zelenska

The First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, said that our country wants the war to end as soon as possible. That is why the world should accelerate its support for the Ukrainian people in the war against Russia.
She stressed that Ukrainians pay for democracy with their lives. Zelenska said this in a video interview with The Independent.
"We constantly hear from our Western partners that they will be with us for as long as it takes. But the word 'long' is not the word we should use. We should use the word 'faster'," the First Lady of Ukraine said.
She emphasised that the aggressor's victory would be the worst case scenario for all of humanity.
"It would mean that global deterrents do not work. It would mean that anyone with power, strength and sufficient financial resources can do whatever they want in this world," Zelenska explained.
In addition, she stressed that Ukraine is now defending not only its interests, but also trying to maintain a democratic balance in the world.
"Ukrainians are paying for this with the lives of their compatriots, and the rest of the world is simply paying with its resources," the first lady concluded.
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, in late July, the United States announced a new $400 million military aid package for Ukraine. It included additional ammunition for the Patriot, NASAMS and HIMARS systems, as well as 32 Stryker armoured personnel carriers.
