On Saturday, November 25, the Speaker of the Finnish Parliament Jussi Halla-Aho addressed the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. He enchanted the MPs with his perfect Ukrainian language - they gave him a standing ovation.

The video from the Rada session hall was posted on Telegram by Oleksiy Honcharenko, a member of the European Solidarity party. The lawmaker explained that the Finnish guest is not only a politician, but also a philologist, PhD, and specialist in the Old Slavonic language. That is why he knows Ukrainian so well.

Also speaking in the Rada hall on the occasion of the Holodomor Remembrance Day was the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament, Marketa Pekarova Adamova. She ended her speech with the words: a candle is good, but Ukraine needs more weapons.

On November 25, Swiss President Alain Berset arrived in Ukraine on an official visit. He is to take part in an international summit on food security. The politician plans to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and discuss a number of important issues.
