Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that a Russian full-scale invasion should be the last manifestation of aggression in the world. According to the head of state, by stopping Russia's invading ambitions, the entire civilized world will paralyze other potential aggressors.

Zelenskyy also noted that the Ukrainian formula for peace provides not only the defeat of Russia, but also security in the world. The president said this during an address to the people of Japan in Hiroshima (to see the video, scroll to the end of the page).

The head of state stressed that throughout its history humanity has lost a great many lives in wars. Therefore, the future of humanity must be without war.

"I believe that war has no place in the world. Humanity has come a very long way and lost many lives in bloody confrontations. Death has fallen from the sky, death has come from the sea, radiation has carried death, people have carried death to each other. Somebody says that it is impossible to imagine the history of mankind without war, while we say that the history of mankind should be without war," Zelensky said.

The president also expressed confidence that by defeating the terrorist country of Russia, Ukraine would paralyze the ambitions of other aggressors around the world.

Zelensky added that Ukraine offered a peace formula that would make Russia the last aggressor. Separately, the president mentioned the need for nuclear security, noting that the people of Hiroshima had experienced what nuclear weapons were like in the twentieth century.

"By stopping Russia's invading ambitions and renewing Russia's broken security we will give the world one additional result: we will paralyze other potential aggressors. When everyone who wants war sees how united and determined the world is, there will be no point in even starting a war. Until now, there has been no formula in the world that can stop an aggressor. Ukraine offers it. Ukraine offers the world salvation from war - for this we need to unite and make Russia the last aggressor so that only peace will reign after the defeat of its invasion of Ukraine," the president said.

Zelenskyy added that people all over the world are different, but everyone equally wants to live in peace and security. The Ukrainian head of state said that future generations should only see war in museums. And this requires everyone to respect other nations and recognize state borders.

"We are human beings, we have different cultures, different views, different national flags, but we equally want security for ourselves, our children, our grandchildren. Our lives are equally burned into ashes if, God forbid, war comes. Everyone in the world must do everything to make sure that only shadows of war remain on the stone of history, that it can only be seen in a museum. Everyone in the world must respect other nations. Everyone in the world must recognize national borders. Everyone in the world must defend justice. Everyone in the world should take care of life and take peace as their responsibility," Zelensky stressed.

Recall that Zelensky at the G7 summit in Japan called on partners to support the Ukrainian formula for peace. The key condition for ending the war must be the unconditional withdrawal of Russian occupation troops from all of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders.

The day before, on May 20, Zelensky met with Sunak, Meloni, Modi and other world leaders in Japan. The key topics of the talks were military, political and humanitarian support for Ukraine, and the creation of a "coalition of fighters" was also discussed.
