"Bilateral relations are on the agenda": Slovak Prime Minister Fico arrives in Uzhhorod with a visit to Ukraine. Video
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico arrived in Uzhhorod on a visit to Ukraine. There he met with his Ukrainian counterpart Denys Shmyhal.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine posted a video of the meeting on his Telegram account. He noted that the Ukrainian side is looking forward to a constructive dialog.
"Our bilateral relations and support for European initiatives are on the agenda," Shmyhal said.
On the eve of his visit to Uzhhorod, Fico said that Kyiv allegedly "has no war and absolutely normal life." It is noteworthy that he made this remark on Tuesday, when the Ukrainian capital was suffering from Russian shelling.
When asked by journalists why the politicians met in Uzhhorod rather than Kyiv, the Slovak prime minister said irritably that he did not see any difference.
Manfred Weber, President of the European People's Party and Chairman of the relevant group of the European Parliament, reproached Fico for lying and called his words disrespectful to the people of Ukraine.
"He (Fico - ed.) should come to Kyiv immediately," Weber said, commenting on the Slovak prime minister's words.
As reported by OBOZ.UA:
- Earlier, Fico said that Ukraine is "not a sovereign state." According to the Slovak politician, it is allegedly completely under the control of the United States.
- The Slovak prime minister also said that he opposes Ukraine's accession to the North Atlantic Alliance. He planned to tell the Prime Minister of Ukraine about this during a meeting in Uzhhorod.
