Potato pancakes are the simplest and most satisfying potato dish. For a more substantial version, add hard cheese or mushrooms to the dish. It is also worth noting that to prevent the pancakes from darkening, add grated onion or onion juice to the base.

How to cook pancakes correctly

Recipe for pancakes

Ingredients:

  • potatoes - 8 pcs.
  • onion - 1 pc.
  • flour - 2 tbsp.
  • egg - 1 pc.
  • salt, pepper

Julienne:

  • mushrooms to taste
  • onion for mushrooms - 1 pc.
  • sour cream - 3 tbsp
  • salt, pepper
  • cheese to taste

Method of preparation:

1. Mash potatoes and onions, add flour, egg, salt, pepper and mix until smooth.

2. Julienne: Fry the onion until golden brown and add the mushrooms. Then add sour cream, salt, pepper and simmer for a few minutes.

3. Put everything in the pots, first the pancakes, mushrooms, and grated cheese, and repeat until the pot is full. You can do it in a baking dish if you don't have pots! Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes at 200 C.
