"We are constantly being humiliated": VFHG president Viner complained to Putin about Russia's disgrace in world sport

Viner-Usmanov addressed Putin

The president of the All-Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation (VFHG), Irina Viner, called the fact that athletes from the aggressor country agreed to perform in a neutral status at international tournaments a disgrace. The member of the Supreme Council of the United Russia party also complained to Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin that "they are constantly being humiliated."

Viner said this during a meeting of the Council for the Development of Physical Culture and Sports, Sport24 reports. According to her, Russia should not agree to participate in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris without its national anthem and symbols.

Putin and Viner

"We are very worried about the fact that we are constantly being shut down in IOC. How? We are constantly being humiliated. We are either allegedly doing something wrong in one area or the athletes are dressed in white uniforms. Without the anthem, without our fans... It's a shame. We are used to chanting our national anthem when our flags are raised, a sea of Russian flags. The most popular song at the World Cup is always the Russian anthem. To participate without all this and to be in this state is beneath the dignity of a country like Russia," Wiener said.

Earlier, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) expelled Russia from its membership. In response, Putin accused the organization of "ethnic discrimination" against Russians.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, four-time Olympian Alexander Tikhonov called Russia too kind after Russia's expulsion from the IOC.
