An evening in a bar or restaurant with good company is a great way to relax from everyday life and one of the joys of life. However, the pleasure you had the night before can result in a severe hangover in the morning, which will ruin all your plans.

To prevent this from happening, you should correctly calculate the amount of alcohol you drink. In addition, there are also foods that should be avoided even before the evening gatherings begin. Daniel Ufland, CEO of Whisky Masters, told Mirror about these products.

Ufland names salty snacks as the first foods on the list of foods prohibited before drinking alcohol. He also does not recommend popcorn, pretzels, and chips. All of these foods contribute to dehydration in the same way as alcohol, which will make the morning simply unbearable. Salty foods, in addition to dehydration, lead to bloating, which negatively affects your health and body in general. And combining it with alcohol only enhances the effect.

Second on the expert's list are sweet foods, pasta, and bread products. They worsen the effects of alcohol on the body because they contain a lot of carbohydrates. Eventually, this can lead to spikes in blood sugar levels.

Dairy products are third on the list. They can slow down the absorption of alcohol, causing a delayed onset of its effects and making it harder for the body to process alcohol. This can lead to a stronger hangover the next day.
