Unreliable cars

Auto experts conducted an interesting survey and, based on information received from more than 300,000 car owners, determined the rating of unreliable cars in 2023. The top ten list includes Ford F-150 Hybrid, Hyundai Kona Electric, Nissan Sentra, Ford Explorer, and Chevrolet Bolt.

Top Speed also published the outsiders of the rating - the top 5 cars that are considered too problematic to operate. It is a surprise that Mercedes made the list for the first time according to Consumer Reports.

Chevrolet Bolt EUV

Predicted reliability: 1/5

The EUV uses the same basic structure and styling as the Bolt, but it now looks more like an SUV than a car. Experts suggest that the design change is aimed at increasing sales, but the automaker has not solved the main problems with operation. Consumer Reports noted that the model has a noticeable angular roll. The Bolt EUV also had problems with the electric motor, electronics, and air/water leaks.

Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid

Predicted reliability: 1/5

The 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid is a good model overall, but one of the main problems that all owners, testers, and designers can confirm is the brake pedal squelch. Experts say that this does not affect the braking system, but it will definitely make you think about whether you should choose this model. Users have also complained about faulty wires inside the transmission.

Kia Sorento

Predicted reliability: 1/5

The 2023 Kia Sorento is a great option for those who want to buy a mid-size crossover for a relatively affordable price. However, car owners complain about the following breakdowns: cracked glass, loss of power, and air conditioning problems.

Nissan Pathfinder

Predicted reliability: 1/5

The Nissan Pathfinder 2023, according to Consumer Reports, responds very well to cornering, despite its massive design. Owners claim that the Nissan Pathfinder is simply not worth the money spent, as the transmission has problems with shifting. In addition, there were complaints about the anti-lock brakes, drive system, and climate control.

Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe

Predictable reliability: 2/5

When you pay between $60,000 and $120,000 for a brand new Mercedes, you expect the quality to match that outer-space price tag. Consumer Reports found that the GLE offered a pleasant ride and a quiet cabin, but owners complained about excessive noise and the feeling of every little bump and pothole on the roads. According to the study, some of the controls only made it more difficult to operate. Owners also reported many problems with the car's electronics, engine, climate system, and hardware.
